Charity of Choice - March & April

Since 1946, Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) has sent aid to people experiencing need around the world. CLWR’s We Care program continues to ship thousands of urgently needed supplies every year through the donations of dedicated congregations, service groups and individuals like you. Your gifts of love are received by people affected by poverty or displaced by war, hunger or natural disaster, and are vital to the operation of hospitals, schools, refugee camps and development programs. Your support changes lives.

1. If you wish to make a financial donation to CLWR in March or April, you may place it in your offering envelope (write cheque to Hope Lutheran Church and indicate amount for CLWR.)

2. To provide others with the tools to learn, our Sunday School children are hoping to make 20 Living and Learning Kits. We are collecting the following items. If you can donate any of these things, please place in the donation box in the office. DONATED ITEMS MUST BE RECEIVED BY SUNDAY, APRIL 19 (we are making the kits on this day)

• 60 lined notebooks

• 200 unsharpened pencils with erasers

• 20 metric rulers (30 cm)

• 20 pencil sharpeners

• 20 erasers

• 20 packages of crayons or pencil crayons

• 20 small & simple toys (must be new, no batteries required)

• 20 bars of soap

• 20 new/ individually wrapped toothbrushes

• 20 tubes of toothpaste (expiration date no earlier than one year)
